My bathroom is full of drugstore beauty products. I have about 40 cans of hairspray, 15 different shampoos and conditioners and enough fake tan to provide the whole of Essex with. However, I tend to stick to using my drugstore favourites every day. This blog post is about the products I use every day – my essentials.
First things first – I love the John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo & conditioner collection. I have dark blonde hair an during the winter months the lack of sun means my hair can get a little dull. I find after just a few washes with the Sheer Blonde collection my hair is naturally brighter and blonder. I have really thick hair and the conditioner does manage to tackle my tangles! My hair is left feeling soft and smooth, and smells so yummy afterwards.
Next up is my beloved Dove Summer Glow tanning moisturiser. I tend to use the fair to medium tan as I am extremely pale and do actually want it to look somewhat natural! I use this around three times a week after I shower and it works wonders. It took me a while to learn how to apply it properly without looking stripey but it gives off a healthy natural glow. I also use it on my face as well which is a bonus. The smell is also significantly better than other fakes tans I have used in the past and for once does not smell of digestive biscuits – ideal.
I love argan & moroccan oil products! I have mentioned previously in my blog that I use a moroccan oil hair mask a few times a week, but I have recently discovered a different version of moroccan argan oil for hair. This is amazing! It leaves my hair feeling really healthy and soft. When I first used it I didn’t wash it out properly, so when I dried my hair it looked really greasy – so thoroughly wash it out to avoid this mistake! I also recieved argan oil body wash for Christmas and it works in the same way. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, I usually don’t need to moisturise afterwards as the body wash does the same job.
All of these products are really good quality and also pretty gentle on the purse strings. You can buy them from any drugstore – Boots, Superdrug etc. I will also be doing an ‘Everyday Essentials – Make Up’ post in a few weeks so keep an eye out for that.
